Stop Asking AI Questions. Start Giving It Jobs.
Beginner is using the tool. Intermediate is building the system that runs when you don't. Three hours, live online, hands-on, $29. You'll set up the four layers that turn a chatbot into something that works Tuesday at 6 a.m. while you're asleep.
Next class: Saturday, November 7, 9 a.m. to noon Eastern. Live online, on Google Meet. The booking link goes live shortly. Leave your email now and you'll get it first.
Who this class is for
Right room if...
Any two of these is plenty.
- You use Claude or ChatGPT most weeks
- You've made at least one Project
- You keep typing the same thing over and over
- You have a real job, a job search, or a side idea
- "Automation" doesn't scare you. You just don't know where to start
Beginner first if...
No shame. That's the right call.
- You haven't made an account yet
- You've never gotten a useful answer out of it
- "Prompt" and "Project" don't mean anything yet
- You want meals, budgets and trip plans. That's Beginner
Four layers. Build them in this order.
Each layer only works if the one before it is done.
1 · Memory: what it knows
Projects done right. Why one catch-all Project called "AI" never works, the three parts of a Project most people only use one of, and how to move your best prompt into the instructions box so you never type it again. Plus the five-minute save ritual that builds a second brain.
2 · Hands: what it can reach
Connectors. Stop pasting your calendar and inbox in and let it look, with your OK. Which two to connect first, what Gmail, Calendar and Drive can and can't do, and the guardrails: read is not write, and a human stays on the send button.
3 · Habits: what it does unasked
Skills you teach once and run forever, made by talking, no code. Then agents: what one actually is, why not every job needs one, and a scheduled morning brief built live on my screen.
4 · Wiring: what runs on its own
Make.com in one idea: a trigger, some steps, an action. When a job belongs in your AI app and when it belongs in an automation. Then the guided build: star an email, and a row lands in your spreadsheet. Automatically. Forever.
What you leave with
Free accounts are enough. Paid features are watch-me, and I make nothing if you upgrade.
One real Project
Instructions filled in, real files attached, named after something in your life.
One Skill
A task you do over and over, taught once. Made by talking, no code.
One live automation
A Make.com scenario: star an email, a row lands in your sheet. Swap the words and it's a lead tracker, an invoice log or a job-application tracker.
One agent, watched
I build a scheduled agent on my screen so you can copy it the day you upgrade.
How the time goes
| Roughly | What happens |
|---|---|
| 0:00 | WelcomeOne question to start: what have you actually built with AI since your last class? "Nothing" is allowed. It's where I was too. |
| 0:10 | What changed latelyThe tools move every few weeks. A quick catch-up on what's new in Claude and ChatGPT, and the names that changed. |
| 0:20 | Layer 1 · MemoryFix your Projects, then build one properly, right there. |
| 0:50 | Layer 2 · HandsConnect one thing, and ask it what it saw that you didn't ask about. |
| 1:35 | BreakTen minutes. Finish your Project or connector if you're behind. |
| 1:45 | Layer 3 · HabitsMake your first Skill by talking. Watch an agent get built live. |
| 2:20 | Layer 4 · WiringThe guided Make.com build, plus the four automation traps I've already fallen into. |
| 2:50 | The closeYour next 30 days, one layer a week, and the first job you'll hand off. |
The morning brief I build live
This is the agent from Layer 3. One paragraph of plain English in a normal chat, and it runs every weekday without you.
Running it on a schedule takes a plan with scheduled tasks. Check yours before you paste it. The last line is the one that matters.
What to have ready
Three tabs open: claude.ai (or ChatGPT), make.com and a Google Sheet. A free Make account and a Google account are all the build needs. If your work account blocks it, use a personal one.
Set up the Make account before class, not during it. At the first Intermediate class, on October 24, account setup ate the time we'd planned for the build. Lesson learned.
Intermediate: Saturday, November 7
9 a.m. to noon Eastern, live online, $29. Leave your email and pick Intermediate. You'll get the booking link first, and I'll ask what you want covered before class.
