AI for Small Business: What 25 Tools You Already Pay For Actually Include
You probably do not need another AI tool. You need to know what AI is already sitting inside the software you are already paying for every month, whether it costs extra, and whether there is a limit nobody mentioned. That is what this page is.
Every entry below was checked against the vendor's own pricing page, help center, release notes or terms of service. Where a vendor has no AI, it is listed with that stated. Where a vendor raised its prices and blamed AI, that is here too.
Maintained by Brian Cleveland, who writes Brian Tries AI. Updated Aug 31, 2026. Nothing here costs anything, nobody paid to be listed, and there are no affiliate links.

The short version
If you read nothing else on this page.
The story is metering, not automation
Almost every vendor here now includes AI. Almost none of them include it without a limit. Across this page, included variously means 25 questions a month, 30 phone conversations, 10 credits you receive once and never again, credits that expire at the end of every month, or an allowance described only as millions of tokens with no number attached.
This is the single most useful thing to understand before you choose a plan, and it is missing from essentially every roundup of AI tools for small business.
One vendor gets it right, and it is worth naming
ADP RUN includes its AI assistant, payroll inspector and smart timesheet import in Essential Payroll, its cheapest plan, and says so in a pricing table you can check yourself. It is the only unambiguous case of that on this page.
AI is a documented reason your bill went up
HoneyBook raised prices by up to 89% and cited AI-powered workflows. Slack raised Business+ by 20% and cited advanced AI capabilities. Microsoft raised consumer prices for the first time in twelve years and cited Copilot, then built opt-out plans for people who did not want it.
Bookkeeping and accounting
Where the AI shows up first for most owners, because the software already has your numbers.
QuickBooks (Intuit) Shipping
Intuit Intelligence. Categorizes and reconciles your books, flags anomalies, and answers plain-English questions about your finances.
No add-on fee, but hard-metered. The pricing page shows AI Chat capped at 25 questions per month on EVERY tier, including the $340/mo Advanced plan. Accounting AI and Payments AI start at Essentials; Sales Tax AI and Customer AI at Plus; Finance AI and Project Management AI only at Advanced. Much of it still carries a BETA badge.

Xero Shipping
JAX (Just Ask Xero). Chat assistant inside your books that answers questions like what was my income over the last six months, and creates invoices from past quotes.
Free for now, and Xero says so explicitly, but the same sentence reserves the right to change it: there is currently no additional charge, however we reserve the right to change the terms and conditions of using JAX, including the pricing. Quiet gate: auto-reconcile is Growing and Established plans only. Separately, US prices rise Oct 1 2026, though Xero does not name AI as the reason.

FreshBooks Announced
AI-powered expense categorization. Announced in 2023 as guessing your expense categories for you, at 10% of users with a stated plan to roll out to everyone.
Never confirmed as generally available. The word AI appears nowhere on the current pricing page, and there is no mention across the complete 2025 changelog, the 2026 changelog through Aug 6, or the July 2026 feature roundup. Receipt capture is a plain tier ladder, not AI: Lite has none, Plus adds it. Neither shipped nor killed on the record.

Wave No verified AI
Receipt scanning and automatic expense categorization, which Wave markets as smart OCR technology and never calls AI.
Listed here precisely because the answer is no. There is no AI-branded product. It is also worth knowing the automation is paywalled: receipt scanning is not on the free Starter plan, and auto-categorization is Pro-only with the note that auto-updates cannot be turned off.

Payments and point of sale
The register, the card reader and everything the customer touches on the way out.
Toast Shipping
Toast IQ, Toast IQ Grow. Ask a plain question about sales, labor or your menu and it performs the task instead of you digging through reports.
Mixed. The Toast IQ assistant is described as included with Toast POS at no additional cost. Toast IQ Grow is $499 per month, a figure that appears only in the press release and nowhere on the pricing page. Toast IQ is also not a row in any pricing comparison table, so availability on the $0 Starter Kit plan is unconfirmed. Previously called Sous Chef.

Square (Block) Shipping
Managerbot. Monitors your sales and labor, flags inventory shortages before they hit service, and drafts staff schedules and marketing campaigns for you to approve.
Square says Managerbot is available now in open beta to most non-franchise food and beverage, retail, and health and beauty US sellers at no additional cost. Read those qualifiers: open beta, US only, and three verticals. Square describes it as the next evolution of Square AI, and it works on a proposes-and-you-approve model, with every action requiring seller approval before it executes.

Selling online
Storefronts, product copy and the new agent-driven checkout everyone is racing to build.
Shopify Shipping
Sidekick, Shopify Magic. Writes your product copy, edits product photos, and answers customer questions in your store chat.
No fee, but metered with no published meter. Shopify says Sidekick is included with your Shopify plan, features and usage limits vary by plan. The pricing table carries a row that literally reads Millions of tokens, with no number on any plan. No Shopify page states a token count, message cap or overage rate. Separately, the July 2026 Agentic Storefronts terms reserve the right to assess a fee on transactions and to terminate services without notice.

Email and marketing
The tools that write to your customers for you, and the tier you have to be on for that to work.
Mailchimp (Intuit) Shipping
Intuit Assist, Write with AI, Analytics AI. Drafts your campaigns, picks the best send time, and tells you who is about to churn.
No surcharge, but AI is the paywall. The plan table lists generative AI features as a no additional cost add-on on Premium and Standard, and Not included on Essentials and Free. The Free plan card reads no AI, no optimization tools. Note that Intuit's investor release and Mailchimp's own What's New disagree about whether Analytics AI reaches all paid plans; Standard and above is the safe assumption.

Constant Contact Shipping
AI Content Generator, AI Campaign Builder. Give it keywords and get a drafted email, landing page, social post or text message.
The vendor contradicts itself. The marketing page asks is AI included in all plans and answers yes. The knowledge base, updated more recently, says the AI Content Generator is not available in all Constant Contact plans and you may need to upgrade. The pricing page corroborates the knowledge base: the AI campaign builder is Standard and above, not Lite. Do not trust the marketing claim.

HubSpot Changed
Agent Hub, Breeze Assistant. AI agents that resolve support chats, enrich records and draft outreach.
Two things to know. HubSpot's own documentation states that unused credits expire at the end of each usage period and do not roll over. Separately, HubSpot warns that features currently in beta may consume credits in the future, and that while it aims to give 30 days notice, this may not be possible given the rapid pace of beta development. HubSpot's per-tier credit allowances live in its Products and Services catalog, which could not be retrieved in full, so no specific allowance is claimed here. Agent Hub was formerly called Breeze Agents.

Design and content
Making the graphic, the post and the flyer without hiring anyone.
Canva Shipping
Canva AI, Magic Write, Dream Lab. Generates your social graphics, ad creative and copy.
Metered, with a paid add-on stacked on top of a paid plan. AI Pass is described as a monthly recurring add-on that supplements your existing Canva Pro or Business plan, offering up to 40x more than Canva Pro. The June 2026 AI product terms are blunt: AI usage limits are operational controls and not fixed entitlements. Note also that Magic Studio and most of the individually named Magic tools have quietly disappeared into Canva AI with no retirement notice.

Everyday productivity
The office suite you already pay for, and what its AI now costs.
Microsoft 365 Business Shipping
Copilot Chat, Microsoft 365 Copilot. Free AI chat with any plan; AI actually working inside your Word documents and Outlook inbox costs extra per seat.
Both free and paid. Copilot Chat is available at no additional cost to all Microsoft Entra ID users with an eligible subscription. Microsoft 365 Copilot Business, which is the add-on that puts AI inside the apps and is capped at 300 users, is listed at $21 and currently discounted to $18 per user per month paid yearly. Microsoft also raised consumer prices for the first time in twelve years and named Copilot as the reason, then created Personal Classic and Family Classic plans so customers could opt out of the AI.
Source: Microsoft 365 Copilot pricing page · Aug 18, 2026
Google Workspace Changed
Gemini in Workspace. Gemini's writing and meeting-notes help now comes with your subscription instead of a separate AI bill.
The add-on was retired into the base plans in January 2025 and the base price went up to pay for it. Google's own example: a customer previously paid $32 per user per month for Business Standard plus the Gemini add-on, and now pays $14, only $2 more than Workspace without Gemini. The only AI item still sold separately is AI Expanded Access.

Slack Changed
Slack AI. Summarizes long threads and huddles on any paid plan; search, recaps and translations need Business+.
The add-on was killed as a purchasable product in August 2025, and existing Pro buyers lose features on renewal unless they upgrade. Slack raised Business+ from $12.50 to $15 per user per month on annual billing, and from $15 to $18 for monthly billers, naming AI as the reason. The FAQ is refreshingly direct about the consequence: asked whether you can pay less by turning AI off, the answer is simply no.

Dropbox Changed
Dropbox Dash. Searches and summarizes across your files and connected apps.
Sold as a wholly separate per-seat subscription rather than bundled: Dash for Teams at $19 per user per month, or $15 billed yearly, and Dash for Business at $35. Solo users are excluded outright, with the eligibility page naming individual Dropbox users on Plus, Professional or Essentials plans as ineligible. Geo-fenced to the US, UK and Australia. Formerly Dropbox AI.

Payroll and HR
Paying people correctly, which is where a mistake is most expensive.
ADP RUN Shipping
ADP Assist. Type a plain-English payroll request and it flags likely errors before you submit.
The cleanest case on this page. The virtual assistant, payroll inspector and smart timesheet import are all listed as included in Essential Payroll, the entry tier, sitting above the page's separate Add-Ons section. This is the only vendor here that unambiguously includes AI in its cheapest plan, provable from a pricing table.

Gusto Shipping
Gus, Gusto Cofounder. Answers your payroll and HR questions with a link to the source article.
Whether it costs anything is genuinely unpublished, and that is the finding. Gusto's pricing page contains no mention of AI, no AI assistant, and no AI credits of any kind. Gus also runs under Beta Terms rather than standard terms. Worth knowing: Gus was announced in September 2024 as able to approve PTO requests, change salaries and reassign managers, but the current help center describes only two capabilities, both read-only. Gusto never announced a reduction.

Website builders
Where AI credits are most aggressive, and where the entry tier gets the least.
Wix Shipping
Aria, Alfred, Wixel. Builds the site, runs the marketing and answers the phone.
The most aggressive credit system on this page. Allowances run 150 actions per month on Light up to 1000 on Business Elite, with the free plan capped at 30 per day. Wix reserves the right at any time to change the credit cost. Credits do not roll over, and once used they cannot be returned even if the result does not match your expectations. Asked whether you can buy more credits without upgrading, Wix answers no, you need to upgrade your plan. Formerly Astro.
Source: Wix AI credits help article (verified) · Aug 18, 2026
Squarespace Shipping
Squarespace AI, Blueprint AI, AI Visibility. Writes your site copy free; AI images and AI-search-visibility checks draw down credits.
Read the entry tier carefully. The pricing comparison lists four different AI credit allowances, and the lowest reads 10 credits (one-time) against 20 credits per month one step up. One-time means once, ever, not monthly. AI Visibility follows the same pattern at up to 10 prompt runs (one-time). Squarespace renders its plan names and prices client-side, so the allowances cannot be tied to a named plan from a fetched source, and none is claimed here.

CRM and customer records
Keeping track of who your customers are, which is where AI is most often sold by the credit.
Zoho Shipping
Zia, Zia Agents, Bigin AI. Scores leads and fills in missing contact data.
Tier-gated and token-metered at the same time. Zoho gives agents 30 million free tokens a month, after which over-limit charges apply, and converts usage at a rate of 1 credit to 1,000 tokens. Zoho's own Bigin pricing page admits the problem with that model: credit consumption varies based on the AI feature used, usage cannot be directly mapped to a fixed number of actions. Zia LLM was announced as launched in July 2025, but the product page still reads COMING SOON.

Scheduling, documents and field service
Answering the phone, booking the job and signing the contract.
Calendly Shipping
Calendly Notetaker, Callie. Records and summarizes client calls with action items.
Calendly describes Notetaker as being in limited availability, so it may not appear in your account. Callie, the scheduling assistant, is still private beta. Notably, Calendly's public pricing page mentions AI nowhere at all, not in the plan cards and not in the comparison table, so a buyer choosing a plan gets no signal about any of this.
Source: Calendly Notetaker overview · Aug 18, 2026
DocuSign Shipping
Docusign Iris. Summarizes a contract so you know what you are signing.
AI is fenced into a higher product line. The $11 per month Personal plan gets a shallow AI-assisted summary; real Iris capability requires IAM Starter at $45 per user per month and up. AI-Assisted Review shows Does Not Include on IAM Starter, Standard and Professional, making it Enterprise-only. The document allotment also never refreshes: 5000 documents per user is a one-time allotment and will not reset upon renewal.
Source: DocuSign IAM plans and pricing (verified) · Aug 18, 2026
HoneyBook Shipping
HoneyBook AI. Drafts client emails in your voice, takes meeting notes, and flags a lead that looks likely to book.
AI is bulleted on all three plans with no separate charge, but it was the stated reason for the largest price increase on this page. HoneyBook wrote that increasing prices enables us to continue to accelerate the development of powerful automation tools, AI-powered workflows, enhanced integrations. Starter went from $19 to $36 per month and Premium from $79 to $129, up to 89%. Existing members received 20% off for one year only.
Source: HoneyBook price change article (verified) · Aug 18, 2026
Jobber Shipping
Jobber AI Receptionist. Answers your phone and texts when you are up a ladder, and books the job into your calendar.
A $29 per month add-on with a hard ceiling: it includes 30 conversations, and beyond that Jobber charges $0.79 per additional conversation. Unlimited conversations require the Plus plan, listed at $499 to $699 per month. The Marketing Suite is a separate $99 per month.
Source: Jobber AI Receptionist help article (verified) · Aug 18, 2026
ServiceTitan Shipping
Titan Intelligence, Atlas, Max. AI voice agents answer inbound calls and book appointments, and an in-app assistant drafts quotes for technicians.
ServiceTitan publishes no pricing for Titan Intelligence anywhere on its product page; the only calls to action are Contact Sales and Request a personalized demo. Any ServiceTitan price you find elsewhere is not vendor-sourced. Max is a limited release you have to apply for.

What this actually changes about your week
Everything above is organized by software, which is useful when you are choosing a plan and useless at 6am on a Tuesday. This half is organized by the jobs you actually do: getting paid, getting found, keeping the books, answering the phone, paying people, and working out what all of it is really costing you.
Written for the person who is the owner, the marketing department, the bookkeeper and the receptionist at the same time. Same rule as above: every claim has a source, including the ones that make the software look bad.
Getting paid · Getting found and marketing yourself · Keeping the books · Answering the phone · Paying and managing people · What it actually costs you
Getting paid
The register, the invoice and the moment money actually moves.
Your point of sale is starting to answer questions, and act on them
Instead of pulling a report, you are told how yesterday went, and told about the inventory problem before a customer finds it.
Square opened Managerbot in open beta at no additional cost, on a model where it proposes an action and you approve it. The qualifiers matter: US sellers, non-franchise, and only food and beverage, retail, and health and beauty.
Practical read: if you already use Square and you are in one of those categories, this is the easiest AI thing you can try this week at no cost. Ask it something you would normally build a report for.
Source: Square press release, Managerbot open beta · Apr 28, 2026
Getting found and marketing yourself
Writing the post, the email and the listing, and being found by an AI that is answering for your customer.
The AI writing your marketing is usually on a meter
You get a few good drafts, then the tool slows down, asks you to upgrade, or quietly stops.
Wix, Squarespace, Canva, HubSpot and Zoho all run credit systems. Credits generally expire monthly and do not roll over, and at least one vendor states outright that a credit spent on a bad result is not refunded.
Practical read: before you build a workflow on any of these, find the number. If the vendor will not tell you the allowance, treat it as a trial rather than a tool you can depend on in a busy week.
Source: Wix AI credits help article (verified) · Aug 18, 2026
The cheapest website plan may get its AI credits once, ever
You use the AI a few times while setting up, and then it is simply gone with no monthly refresh.
Squarespace's own pricing comparison reads 10 credits (one-time) at the lowest allowance, against 20 credits per month one step up. The same one-time wording applies to its AI search-visibility checks.
Practical read: one-time and per month are one word apart in a table and worlds apart in practice. This is among the most commonly misread lines in small-business software pricing right now.
Source: Squarespace pricing page · Aug 18, 2026
Keeping the books
The receipts, the categories and the quarterly panic.
Your accounting software will answer questions, about 25 of them
You ask your books a plain-English question and get a straight answer instead of building a report.
QuickBooks caps AI Chat at 25 questions per month, and that cap applies on every tier including the most expensive plan. Xero's equivalent is currently free but the same page reserves the right to start charging.
Practical read: 25 questions a month is roughly one per working day. That is fine for checking something occasionally and not enough to change how you work. Budget your questions or budget an upgrade.
Source: QuickBooks pricing page (verified) · Aug 18, 2026
Some of it is automation wearing an AI badge, and some is the reverse
A feature reads your receipts and files them, but the vendor never calls it AI, or calls it AI and cannot show you anything.
Wave ships receipt OCR and auto-categorization and markets it only as smart OCR technology. FreshBooks announced AI expense categorization in 2023 and has not mentioned it in any changelog since.
Practical read: judge the feature, not the label. A vendor with no AI marketing may automate more of your week than one with an AI page, and an announcement from three years ago is not a product.
Source: Wave pricing page (verified) · Aug 18, 2026
Answering the phone
The job you cannot do while you are doing the other job.
Something can now answer the phone while you work
A customer calls, an AI picks up, takes the details and puts the job on your calendar.
Jobber sells this at $29 a month including 30 conversations, then $0.79 for each one after that. Wix has a phone agent inside its credit system. ServiceTitan sells one but publishes no price at all.
Practical read: 30 conversations is about seven calls a week. Count your actual missed calls for one week before you decide whether that ceiling is generous or nearly nothing.
Source: Jobber AI Receptionist help article (verified) · Aug 18, 2026
Paying and managing people
Where a mistake costs the most and where the AI is, unusually, cheapest.
Payroll is the one place AI is genuinely included at the bottom tier
The payroll software checks your run for likely errors before you submit it, on the cheapest plan.
ADP RUN lists its virtual assistant, payroll inspector and smart timesheet import as included in Essential Payroll, its entry package, above the separate add-ons section.
Practical read: this is the clearest counterexample on the page, and it is worth knowing that a category can get this right. Gusto, by contrast, does not mention AI on its pricing page at all, so you cannot tell what you are buying.
Source: ADP payroll packages page (verified) · Aug 18, 2026
What it actually costs you
The part nobody puts in the comparison table.
AI is now a documented reason your software bill went up
Your renewal is higher and the email mentions continued investment or new capabilities.
HoneyBook raised prices up to 89% and named AI-powered workflows in the explanation. Slack raised Business+ 20% and named advanced AI capabilities. Microsoft raised consumer prices for the first time in twelve years and named Copilot.
Practical read: this is not a conspiracy, it is a disclosed business decision, and you are allowed to price it. Microsoft went as far as creating Classic plans for people who did not want the AI, which tells you the objection was common enough to build for.
Source: HoneyBook price change article (verified) · Aug 18, 2026
Included does not mean unlimited
The plan page says AI is included, and then in practice you run out of it.
Across this page, included variously means 25 questions a month, 30 phone conversations, 10 credits granted once and never again, credits that expire monthly, or an unpublished number of tokens described only as millions.
Practical read: when a vendor says included, the follow-up question is always how much. If the answer is not on the pricing page, it is in the help center, and if it is nowhere, that is itself the answer.
Source: Shopify pricing page (verified) · Aug 18, 2026
A feature you rely on can be renamed, folded in, or quietly withdrawn
The button you used last quarter is gone, or is now part of something with a different name and a different price.
Canva's individually named Magic tools disappeared into Canva AI with no retirement notice. Slack stopped selling its AI add-on. Microsoft discontinued Copilot Pro. HubSpot retired one credit system and converted balances at a tenth of their previous value. Dropbox AI became Dash, which solo users cannot buy.
Practical read: do not build a process you cannot run manually on a feature that is in beta, is named after this year's marketing, or is included in a plan for free. All three are signals it can move.
Source: Canva AI product terms (verified) · Aug 18, 2026
Six things worth knowing before you upgrade anything
The practical version of everything above.
Ask how much, not whether.
Every vendor on this page will tell you AI is included. Only some will tell you the number. The number is the product.
Check whether credits are monthly or one-time.
One word in a pricing table separates a tool you can use all year from ten uses and then nothing.
Look at the entry tier you would actually buy.
AI is frequently absent from free and cheapest-paid plans. The marketing page describes the top tier.
Start with software you already pay for.
You are probably not using the AI already sitting inside your accounting, payroll or point of sale. That is cheaper than any new subscription.
Treat beta as temporary.
Several features here are badged beta, in limited availability, or private beta. One vendor reserves the right to start charging for beta features with as little as no notice.
Keep the manual version.
Features get renamed, repriced, folded into other products and withdrawn. If you cannot do the task without the AI, you have a dependency, not a tool.
Common questions
Short answers, each traceable to a source above.
Is AI included in the small business software I already pay for?
Usually yes in some form, but almost never without a limit. Across the vendors on this page, included variously means 25 questions per month, 30 phone conversations, 10 credits you receive once and never again, credits that expire monthly and do not roll over, or an allowance described only as millions of tokens with no number attached. The feature being included and the feature being usable at the volume you need are different questions.
Which small business software includes AI in its cheapest plan?
ADP RUN is the clearest verified example: its virtual assistant, payroll inspector and smart timesheet import are listed as included in Essential Payroll, its entry tier. Square also offers Square AI and Managerbot at no additional cost, though adjacent features like AI voice ordering require a paid upgrade.
What are AI credits and why do they run out?
Credits are a consumption currency. Each AI action spends some, and the allowance is set by your plan tier. On Wix, Squarespace, Canva, HubSpot and Zoho they generally expire monthly and do not roll over. Wix states that credits used on a request cannot be returned even if the result is wrong, and that you cannot buy more without upgrading your plan.
Did AI cause my software price to go up?
In several documented cases, yes, and the vendor said so. HoneyBook raised prices by up to 89% and cited AI-powered workflows. Slack raised Business+ by 20% and cited advanced AI capabilities. Microsoft raised consumer prices for the first time in twelve years and cited Copilot, then created Classic plans for customers who wanted to opt out.
Does QuickBooks limit how much AI I can use?
Yes. The QuickBooks pricing page shows AI Chat capped at 25 questions per month, and that cap appears on every tier including the most expensive plan. Other AI features are gated by tier instead: Accounting AI and Payments AI start at Essentials, Sales Tax AI and Customer AI at Plus, and Finance AI and Project Management AI only at Advanced.
Which small business tools have no AI?
Wave has no AI-branded product at all; it ships receipt OCR and auto-categorization and describes them only as smart OCR technology. FreshBooks announced AI expense categorization in 2023 to 10% of users and has not mentioned it in any changelog since, so it is listed as announced rather than shipping. Calendly's public pricing page does not mention AI anywhere, and neither does Gusto's.
Do HubSpot AI credits roll over if I do not use them?
No. HubSpot's documentation states that unused credits expire at the end of each usage period and do not roll over. HubSpot also cautions that features currently in beta may begin consuming credits in future, and that while it aims to give 30 days notice, that may not always be possible. HubSpot's per-tier credit allowances are published in its Products and Services catalog rather than on the pricing page, and could not be retrieved in full, so no specific allowance is stated on this page.
Can a solo business owner buy Dropbox Dash?
No. Dropbox's eligibility page names individual Dropbox users on Plus, Professional or Essentials plans as ineligible. Dash is sold as a separate per-seat subscription for teams, at $19 per user per month, or $15 billed annually, and $35 for the Business tier. It is also limited to the United States, United Kingdom and Australia.
How this page is built
So you can check the work.
Primary sources only
Every claim traces to the vendor's own pricing page, help center, release notes, terms of service or investor release. No aggregators, no listicles, no roundups. Nothing is published from a URL that was not opened and read.
What the source date means
Pricing pages and help articles are living documents without a publication date, so the date shown is the date the page was checked. Vendors change these without notice, which is exactly why this page carries a real last-updated date and is genuinely maintained rather than written once.
Nothing here is older than 2026
The other guides on this site carry a hard rule: no claim may rest on a document published before January 2026. This page meets it differently, because almost nothing it cites has a publication date at all. Every vendor entry was re-opened and re-checked against the live page in August 2026, and where a vendor made a dated announcement - a blog post, a release note, a price-change notice - that date is 2026 or the item is not here.
The distinction matters more here than anywhere else on the site. A 2025 statement about what a tool costs is not merely old, it is wrong, and you might be about to pay it.
The four labels
Shipping means in production and documented on the vendor's own site. Announced means publicly committed but not generally available. Changed means rolled back, replaced, repriced or scaled down. No verified AI means we looked and found nothing credible, which is a real and useful answer.
The ones with nothing are listed on purpose
Leaving out vendors with no AI would make this market look more automated than it is. Wave and FreshBooks are on this page precisely because the honest answer is not much.
What is deliberately not here
No hypothetical examples, no simulated use cases and no projections. Several things could not be verified and so are not claimed here: Canva's exact per-plan allowance, Squarespace's plan names and dollar figures, Shopify's token meter, HubSpot's per-tier credit allowance, ServiceTitan's pricing, and whether Gusto's AI costs anything are all either unpublished, behind a sign-in, or rendered in a way that cannot be read. Saying so is more useful than guessing.
Every link on this page was opened and checked
Before publishing, all twenty-six source URLs were fetched and read against the specific claim attached to them. Eight claims did not survive that check and were corrected or removed rather than published, including one where the vendor had silently redirected an old help article to a differently named product.
